Easy DIY Face Masks for All Skin Types

Prompted by an excellent suggestion from a Facebook follower, today’s blog posting is dedicated to the topic of face masks, more pertinently, DIY face masks.  I prefer to make my own natural face masks where possible as (a) its good to give your skin a break from chemical creams, (b) they’re usually very cheap, and (c) the results are excellent. Here is a selection of recommended DIY treatments:

EGG-WHITE MASK

  • Suitable for: Oily skin, acne.
  • Ingredients: 1 egg white.

SUGAR SCRUB

  • Suitable for: Dull skin.
  • Ingredients: 2 tablespoons of caster sugar, 2 tablespoons of warm olive oil.
  • Directions: Mix the sugar and the oil together.  Massage gently onto the skin.  This will help to remove dead skin cells, whilst moisturizing the skin.  Remove with a clean, damp, warm muslin cloth (or face cloth).  You may require the help of a cleanser to get rid of the last few traces of the oil.  Apply your favorite moisturiser.
